Methodology

The lab uses state of the art optical technology (i.e. lasers, cameras CMOS and CCDs, deformable mirrors, liquid crystal modulators...) Instruments are typically own build (Hartmann-Shack sensors, Monocular/binocular visual simulators, microscopes, Purkinje image systems, etc...)

Current Research Projects

  • Studying the dynamic stability of the human lens and IOLs after cataract surgery
  • Analyzing the pinhole effect to extend depth of focus of the human eye
  • IOL design
  • Peripheral refraction and aberrations in the human eye
