Microspherophakia is a congenital anomaly in which the lens is smaller than usual with a spherical shape and is usually associated with weak lens zonules. This image was photographed on a slit lamp using retro-illumination showing the crystalline lens protruding through the pupil and zonules visible at the lens periphery. The original image has been duplicated and spiralled.
