Anterior segment eye research

Our research group focusses on anterior segment eye diseases, i.e. corneal diseases.

Our group comprises of 10 physicians, 1 PhD student, 1 biologist and 1 technician.
Special focus is on translational research in the context of corneal transplantation and ocular surface.

We have a dedicated clinical trials facility (EVI.CT.SE certified) as well as a dedicated basic sciences lab.

Methodology

  • Rat models for various anterior segment diseases
  • DNA/RNA detection and quantification
  • FACS
  • Elisa (Array-technology)
  • Immunehistology
  • Fluorescence-Microscopy
  • Statistics
  • Databases
