Laboratory for Ocular Cell Biology

The aim of my research is to gain a better understanding of corneal diseases, corneal wound healing and refractive surgical procedures.

Methodology

Clinical:

  • Pilot studies, clinical studies phase 1-3

Laboratory:

  • Molecular biology
  • Immunefluorescence
  • Light and electron microscopy
  • In vivo rabbit model for corneal wound healing after laser injury
  • In vivo mouse model for induced retinal degeneration
  • Various transgenic mouse models
