Circadian clocks and retinal pathophysiology

Research group of Dr. David Hicks in Strasbourg, France.

A small team composed of three tenured scientists (Dr. David Hicks, INSERM Research Dr. Director, Head of Group; Dr. Marie-Paule Felder-Schmittbuhl, CNRS Associate Professor; Virginie Gydé-Laurent, University Lecturer), one postdoctoral student (Dr. Cristina Sandu, molecular biologist), four thesis students (Corina Bobu, Domitille Boudard, Diana Karnas, Ouafa Ait-Hmyed) and two technicians (Jean-Georges Lorentz, Claudine Boissier).

Methodology

  • Molecular biology (RT- and real-time PCR, PCR cloning, transfection, gene reporter assays, genotyping)
  • Immunochemistry (immunohistochemistry, immunoblots, immunoprecipitation, apoptosis assay, RIA, ELISA)
  • Cell and tissue culture (preparative biochemistry, bioassays, cell survival assays)
