The main aim of this contest was to encourage co-operation and exchange between young scientists and to give them an opportunity to be guided by some of Europe's most prominent researchers. There were 126 participants; young scientists aged between 14 and 21 years, who presented their projects at a 4 day exhibition and had the opportunity to take part in workshops and side conferences.
