The interim evaluation of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) was carried out by a group of independent, international experts and supported
by an extensive base of evaluation evidence, including studies and statistics.

Chaired by Mr Rolf Annerberg, Director General of FORMAS (The Swedish Research Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning), the experts carried out their work through a number of meetings held over a seventh month period. Their report has been widely disseminated including to Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, the EU Commissioner for Research Innovation and Science. It will provide a major input for the implementation of FP7 and the development of policy for future EU research activities.
