Cyprus sets out Presidency priorities for research

August 01, 2012

The upcoming Cypriot Presidency has identified their priorities for research and innovation for the coming six months.

Cyprus will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 July until 31 December 2012. Although the final priorities will depend on what is achieved during the last month of the current Danish EU Presidency, the four priorities currently outlined for research and innovation are: Horizon 2020; the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT); the ERA Framework; and international co-operation (with a focus on Euro-Mediterranean co-operation).
