September 08, 2008
Figures have just been released on the number of Expressions of Interest (EoI) submitted to the first IMI calls that closed on 15 July 2008.
IMI was the first Joint Technology Initiative to launch calls for proposals. In total 150 EoIs were submitted. EoIs were received for all 18 of the topics that appeared in the work programme. They will now be evaluated by peer review committees, and this first stage of the peer review process is expected to be completed by the end of September 2008. At that point one proposal per topic will be invited to join EFPIA industry members to form a ‘project consortium’, which will develop the full project proposal. These full proposals will be submitted before the deadline at the end of November.
