Research group of Dr. Botond Roska in Basel, Switzerland.
Our group is interested to understand the structure and function of retinal circuits in health and disease. We use genetic technologies to label and manipulate different cell types in the retina, transsynaptic viruses to understand neuronal connectivity, two photon microscopy, electrophysiology and behavioural assays to read out retinal circuit function.
