This research group aims to reduce the risk of sight loss among people with diabetes by the prompt Identification and effective treatment of sight threatening retinopathy. Identification involves systematic screening using digital photography and image grading to view and monitor changes occurring within the retina. Treatment might involve the application of lasers and/or different drug regimes.
Studies involve a combination of patient questionnaires and interviews, data collection / extraction and statistical analysis, patient information transfer and collation, and clinical trials.
