Gift of Sight Eye Research Laboratory

The Gift of Sight Eye Research Centre is based at Southampton General Hospital in Hampshire, United Kingdom. The main areas of research are studies of the molecular genetics of common eye diseases such as age related macular degeneration and ocular stem cell research.

The group consists of Prof Lotery, 3 research scientists, two post-doctoral scientists and several PhD students. In addition currently there are 9 ongoing clinical trials being carried out by this group.

    Complement and ARMD

    Use of stem cells in retinal disease

    Genetics of glaucoma
