Group for Psychophysical Investigation of Visual System

Research interests: Visual Perception – mechanisms of line orientation detection in human visual system; Measurement, reliability and circadian variations in tonic accommodation; Sensitivity to contrast in myopes and emmetropes.

Methodology

  • Measurement of contrast thresholds, by using a visual stimulus generator and suitable psychophysical method.

Current Research Projects

  • Project 1:
Effect on work with computers on the visual system in school children
  • Project 2:
Comparative study of contrast sensitivity in myopic and emmetropic subjects.
