Vision and Physiological Optics Conference in Athens 2018

Report on the 9th European edition of the Vision and Physiological Optics Conference took place in Athens from the 29th to the 31st of August.

This meeting covers the fields of Vision Sciences, optics and related innovations and provides an atmosphere that is unique in the vision research community. The European project MyFUN was represented in this meeting by 11 Early Stage Researchers and their PIs. A total of 10 Oral talks and 2 Posters were defended by them.

Congratulations to our laureate fellows, Pablo Sanz who was awarded the Optical Society of America student award for the best poster presentation and Nikolai Suchkov rewarded with the Athens Eye Hospital award to the best presentation on basic research.

Lastly but not least, we would like to give our kudos to the organizational team lead by Harilaos Ginis. And wish all the best to Juan Tabernero who would organize the next meeting in 2020 in Cambridge.
